Gordon Asare-Bediako Withdraws From NPP Comms Director Race For Miracles Aboagye

Gordon Asare-Bediako has withdrawn from the race for the position of National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing the need for unity and a collective effort to rebuild the party ahead of its next electoral contest.

In a statement issued after what he described as extensive consultations with family, friends and stakeholders within the party, as well as prayerful consideration, Asare-Bediako said his decision was guided by what he believes is in the best interest of the NPP at a defining moment in its political history.

He explained that although his desire to contribute to the rebuilding of the party’s communication machinery remains unchanged, he had reached the conclusion that the party would benefit more from a unified communications front than competing individual ambitions.

As part of his decision, Asare-Bediako announced his full and unreserved endorsement of Dennis Miracles Aboagye for the position.

He described Aboagye as a well-known figure within the NPP whose experience includes serving as Spokesperson and Communications Director for the 2024 Bawumia Presidential Campaign.

According to him, Aboagye’s experience in frontline party advocacy, courage, discipline, strategic depth and ability to command the party’s message make him suited to lead the NPP’s communications machinery at this stage.

Asare-Bediako subsequently appealed to delegates who had supported his candidature to transfer their support to Aboagye, arguing that the party’s broader objective of returning the NPP to power should take precedence over individual ambitions.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and pledged to continue serving in whatever capacity he may be called upon.
