BY Daniel Bampoe

The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has reaffirmed the Minority’s resolve to intensify its oversight role in Parliament, pledging to hold the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) fully accountable for the promises it made to Ghanaians.

Speaking during a Christmas engagement with residents of Nsawam-Adoagyiri, on 25th December, Mr. Annoh-Dompreh stated that beginning next year, the Minority Caucus would be more assertive in demanding results from the government, particularly in areas where commitments have been made but remain unfulfilled.

He cited the long-standing promise by the NDC to establish a Women’s Development Bank, noting that despite public assurances, there has been little to show for it.

According to him, Parliament remains the people’s strongest platform for ensuring transparency and accountability, and the Minority will not relent in its responsibility to scrutinize government actions and policies.

He assured residents that his leadership role as Minority Chief Whip would be used to amplify the concerns of ordinary Ghanaians and push for the delivery of tangible development outcomes.

Mr. Annoh-Dompreh also reaffirmed his personal commitment to the development of Nsawam-Adoagyiri, urging residents to continue to have confidence in his leadership.

He highlighted ongoing and completed projects within the constituency, particularly in the areas of health, education, road infrastructure, and social amenities, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.

Touching on healthcare delivery, the MP referenced the ongoing construction of a maternity block at the Nsawam Government Hospital, a project he initiated to enhance maternal and child healthcare services.

He assured constituents that he would ensure the facility is completed to provide safe and dignified delivery services for women in the area.

The remarks were made during a Christmas Day celebration organized by the MP for residents of the constituency.

The event, which drew a large crowd, was attended by members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), traditional leaders, clergy, Imams, and community members.

The celebration was enlivened by performances from the Prisons Band, creating a festive atmosphere as Mr. Annoh-Dompreh urged residents to remain hopeful, united, and committed to the progress of the constituency and the nation.
