A Prof’s Virtual Party Hallucination

So much has been spewed by contenders for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and their assigns.

It has become rough with the blend of lies and truth doctrine has taking centre stage in the campaign of one of the contenders.

Even as Ghanaians are bombarded with the sometimes disingenuous comments of the contenders and their assigns others too are engaged with providing fuel for the already overheated system.

Our ability or otherwise to control our tongues stands us apart from those who can pass for imbeciles.

The words which we spew can be used against us. Those who used such words as ‘fools’ to describe members of their own political party but now kneeling for their votes are now being served with painful playbacks of such disingenuous remarks.

A statement from the NPP headquarters has it that formal processes of expulsion from the party of surgeon-turned-politician Prof Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng have been triggered.

All things being equal the revered surgeon but not-too-good a politician is on his way out of the party from which he has gained so much material wealth including a ministerial portfolio.

Bitterness when not controlled leads to disaster as the good old Prof is about to learn, having failed to lead the party to fulfil his long time agenda.

His name these days no longer reminds us about his feat in the surgical theatres but tales about missing/flying excavators but own-goals accusations of his own party’s alleged engagement in illegal mining activities. With no proof of his allegations he ended up being presented as a gossip who was being driven by bitterness.

Many allegations were leveled against him some of them bordering on his own son vis a vis the illegal mining saga now festooned around the neck of the country. One of the woes of the NPP is how the old Prof conducted himself while holding public office.

For someone who failed to do anything substantial with the inter-ministerial committee on illegal mining bestowed upon him he could nonetheless garner the guts to accuse his own government of being knee-deep in illegal mining activities.

His latest television interview appears to have provided the last straw to break his back. We shall see how this pans out though. One thing is sure to happen…he will spew more untruths.

Until his interview which has caught the attention of the NPP headquarters we have never heard about a virtual NPP to which he belongs and the physical one located at Asylum Down which in his definition is fake.

Justin Kodua Frimpong, NPP Scribe who has announced the commencement of formalities to expel the surgeon from the party should be informed that the man does not even recognize the party as being real. It is fake and therefore does not exist. Any correspondence to him will therefore we can bet be treated with contempt by the old Prof whose virtual NPP belief leaves much to be desired about his mental state.

To be reduced to a laughing stock as he has is regrettable. We wish things did not have to degenerate so badly for the man who has served this country so well in the health sector.
