The rising women’s football star Agnes Yeboah has taken another major step in her career after completing a permanent move to Chinese Women’s Super League side Guangdong Meizhou Women Football Club from Ghana Women’s Premier League outfit Jonina Ladies.

The talented Black Princesses forward joins the Chinese club for the second half of the 2026 league season, marking her first move outside Ghana as she continues her rapid development at both club and international level.

The transfer was finalised last week after Yeboah successfully completed all the required documentation and registration procedures before signing her contract with the Chinese side.

The former Jonina Ladies captain has wasted no time settling into her new environment, making her competitive debut over the weekend.

Wearing the number 35 jersey, the Ghanaian attacker featured for 53 minutes despite Guangdong Meizhou suffering a defeat to Sichuan Women.

Yeboah’s move comes after an impressive spell with Jonina Ladies, where she established herself as one of the brightest young talents in Ghanaian women’s football.

Her leadership qualities saw her captain the club, while her performances helped Jonina Ladies reach the semi-finals of the 2025/26 Ghana Women’s FA Cup.

Her outstanding form at club level also earned her a place in the Black Princesses squad, where she played a key role in helping the national U-20 women’s team qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup scheduled in Poland in September.

The transfer represents another significant milestone for the young forward and highlights the growing recognition of Ghanaian female footballers on the international stage.
