John Paintsil’s Coaching Career Takes Shape

Ghana’s football fraternity is abuzz with excitement as former Black Stars player and current deputy coach, John Paintsil, leads his team Paintsil FC to a commanding victory in the Zone 5 Division Two League.

With an unassailable 69 points from 29 matches, Paintsil FC has secured a spot in the GA RFA Division Two Promotional Tournament, scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 22, 2025.

Paintsil’s Coaching Journey

Paintsil’s transition from player to coach has been nothing short of remarkable.

After hanging up his boots in 2016, he began his coaching career as an assistant manager at Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa, working alongside Steve Komphela.

His experience playing for top-tier clubs like West Ham United, Fulham, and Leicester City has undoubtedly contributed to his success as a coach.

Paintsil FC’s impressive campaign has seen them accumulate 20 wins, 7 draws, and only 2 defeats.

Their qualification for the promotional tournament with three matches to spare is a testament to the team’s consistency and dominance throughout the season.

The team’s performance has earned them a well-deserved break before the intense promotional tournament.
