Stanbic Bank Ghana has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the nation’s agricultural transformation with the donation of a brand-new Massey Ferguson tractor to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA).

The gesture, made on Monday, reinforces the bank’s 18-year tradition of supporting the annual Farmers’ Day celebration and empowering farmers whose work sustains the nation.

Over the years, Stanbic Bank has established itself as a reliable partner in agribusiness development, consistently contributing prizes and resources to reward the efforts of hardworking farmers across Ghana.

Since its initial involvement nearly two decades ago, the bank has supported MoFA with various forms of logistical and financial assistance aimed at boosting productivity and recognising exceptional contributions within the sector.

This year, the donated tractor will serve as the second runner-up prize for the national Farmer of the Year at the 2025 Farmers’ Day awards.

Presenting the equipment on behalf of the bank, Mawuko Afadzinu, Head of Brand and Marketing, underscored Stanbic Bank’s belief in the crucial role farmers play in national development.

He reiterated the institution’s longstanding philosophy of “growing Ghana, one harvest at a time,” noting that supporting agricultural actors is essential to strengthening food security, rural economies, and the broader national economy.

Receiving the tractor, Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, expressed profound appreciation to the Bank for its unwavering partnership.

He highlighted the significant impact such corporate interventions have on farming communities nationwide, particularly in enhancing mechanisation, boosting productivity, and inspiring innovation among smallholder and commercial farmers alike.
