The Ho High Court in the Volta Region has convicted seven persons in connection with the robbery and murder of Mawutor Adzahli, a former Assembly Member of Sogakope.
The judgment was delivered on May 22, 2025, by Justice John Ekow Mensah, who found the accused persons guilty on charges of robbery and murder.
Richard Adikyere, who played a key role in the murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment; Stephen Adzibolo and Emmanuel Hedzro were sentenced to 47 years imprisonment each.
Four other accused persons, Samuel Kofi Zotorvi, Christian Zotorvi, Michael Sam, and Obed Ayornu, who pleaded guilty during the trial, were convicted and sentenced to varying prison terms.
Samuel Kofi Zotorvi and Christian Zotorvi were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each, while Michael Sam and Obed Ayornu were sentenced to 20 years each.
