The Ghana Police Service has mounted a large-scale manhunt for Mark Agingre, a native of Binduri in the Upper East Region, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in a string of gruesome murders that have rocked communities across the region.

According to police reports, the suspect is the prime target in two major murder cases, including the cold-blooded killing of an entire family of five at Binduri on November 7, 2025, an incident that has left residents in fear and disbelief.

The attack claimed the lives of a man, his wife, and three children, while a fourth child is currently battling for survival at the Bolgatanga Government Hospital.

Just two weeks prior, on October 27, 2025, another horrific crime occurred in the same district when an elderly man and his two children were found brutally murdered.

Preliminary investigations have linked Mark Agingre to this incident as well, with authorities suggesting he could be behind a series of other unsolved killings in the area.

The Police say early intelligence gathered points to a pattern of targeted killings, leading investigators to believe that Agingre’s motive may extend beyond random violence.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and regional intelligence units have since intensified efforts to track down the suspect, deploying both uniformed and plainclothes officers across the Upper East enclave.

In a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, a GH₵1,000,000.00 bounty has been placed on the suspect’s head.

The reward will go to any individual who provides credible information that directly leads to his arrest.

“Anyone with relevant information on the whereabouts of suspect Mark Agingre should immediately contact the nearest police station or call the Police emergency numbers 191 or 18555,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the Police have assured the public that every possible measure is being taken to ensure the safety of residents and to bring the suspect to justice. Patrols have been intensified in affected communities as locals remain on edge following the series of killings.
