The disappearance of Circle phone dealer Nana Yaw Kyere, alias Terry, has taken a tragic turn after his body was reportedly found in Teshie on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
A relative confirmed the discovery, saying the body was found in the area several days after Kyere travelled to Teshie to complete what was believed to be a business transaction.
The relative further claimed that there were signs of an attempt to burn the body, although the attempt was reportedly unsuccessful. The remains have since been deposited at a morgue as police investigations continue.
Alleged online deception
An account from a resident who said the incident happened near their home suggests that Kyere may have been lured to the area through an online interaction.
According to the account, Kyere believed he had been communicating with a woman, but the person behind the account was allegedly a man from the area.
The source said that after Kyere arrived and reportedly became difficult to locate, the man allegedly asked his girlfriend to pick him up. She took Kyere to a house, served him wine and left him there with her boyfriend and another man.
What happened inside the house remains unclear and has not been independently established.
The account further claims that Kyere was later taken towards Spintex and allegedly dumped, while his vehicle was taken to a mechanic’s shop where an attempt was reportedly made to change its colour.
Missing-person flyer leads to police report
The alleged attempt to alter the vehicle reportedly came under scrutiny when the person engaged to spray it recognised the car from a missing-person notice circulating online.
The sprayer reportedly went to the Manet Police Station and made a report, leading to an arrest.
Police officers subsequently conducted operations in the neighbourhood as they worked to establish what had happened to Kyere.
The allegations surrounding the online interaction, the house where he was reportedly taken and the attempted alteration of the vehicle remain subject of investigation.
The police are yet to publicly establish the circumstances of Kyere’s death or announce the full details of any arrests connected to the case.
