Ghana and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has been hit by a personal tragedy following the reported death of his father, Jacob Teye Partey.
Jacob Teye Partey reportedly passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, leaving the Partey family mourning the loss of their patriarch.
The news comes at a difficult time for Thomas Partey, who remains an important figure for the Ghana national team and currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab.
The midfielder has yet to make a public statement regarding his father’s death as the family comes to terms with the loss.
