Aduana FC have been handed a heavy sanction by the Ghana Football Association following crowd misconduct in their Ghana Premier League game against Karela United.
The GFA Disciplinary Committee has fined the club GHS30,000 and ordered them to play their next three home matches behind closed doors.
The decision comes after supporters of Aduana FC attacked an official of Karela United and damaged the visiting team’s bus after their league meeting.
In its ruling, the Disciplinary Committee found Aduana FC guilty of misconduct and imposed three separate punishments. In addition to the GHS30,000 fine and the three-match stadium ban, the club has been ordered to pay the full cost of repairing the damaged Karela United bus.
The Committee also warned Aduana that any further acts of misconduct will attract more severe sanctions.
This means Aduana will play their next three Ghana Premier League home games without fans as they serve the ban.
The sanctions are part of the GFA’s ongoing efforts to enforce discipline and ensure all clubs comply with regulations governing the Ghana Premier League.
