After years of public heartbreak, social media drama, and personal struggles, comedian and actor Funny Face has taken a major step toward reconciliation by reuniting with his ex-wife Vanessa Nicole—not as a couple, but as dedicated co-parents to their three children.
A heartwarming video that surfaced online on August 2, 2025, captured the emotional reunion between the two, with Funny Face embracing Vanessa warmly, a visible smile on his face.
The moment, which many fans have described as redemptive, marks a turning point in a highly publicised relationship that had been marred by mental health struggles, accusations, and frequent fallouts.
Long Road of Conflict and Healing
Funny Face—real name Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng—has, for the better part of the past five years, faced a series of personal battles that played out in the public eye.
From his mental health breakdowns, erratic social media outbursts, run-ins with the law, and bitter separations from Vanessa, his story has been a cautionary tale about fame, emotional trauma, and the cost of unresolved conflict.
Their relationship had previously gone through turbulent cycles of separation and brief reconciliations.
Vanessa, at a point, accused Funny Face of being physically and emotionally abusive, while he, in turn, questioned her loyalty and parenting.
These accusations were aired publicly, drawing widespread concern from fans and celebrities alike.
At the height of his emotional and psychological decline, Funny Face was even committed to a psychiatric facility after exhibiting suicidal tendencies.
Throughout this ordeal, his children remained a recurring subject in his rants—an indication of how deeply the separation from his family affected him.
But things began to change in recent months. With support from fellow actor and comedian Kwaku Manu, spiritual leaders, and family members, Funny Face gradually stepped back from the limelight to focus on healing.
This latest reunion is seen as the clearest indication yet that the healing process has taken meaningful root.
Message of Gratitude and Apology
In an Instagram post shared on August 3, 2025, Funny Face expressed heartfelt appreciation to those who had supported him on his path to recovery and reconciliation.
He thanked Vanessa for giving him the opportunity to be present in their children’s lives again and mentioned several key figures, including Kwaku Manu, Mama Vida, the Mystic Twins, Mama Mavis, Ohene, and Jah Wisdom.
“Thank you Vanessa for the opportunity to co-parent!! God bless Kwaku Manu, Mama Vida, Mystic Twins, Mama Mavis, Ohene and Jah Wisdom… I truly appreciate you all too for your support and prayers,” he wrote.
He also used the post to extend an apology to anyone he had hurt along the way, stating:
“Massive apologies to anyone offended. Please find a place in your beautiful hearts to forgive me.”
