Atwima Nwabiagya South MP Roots For Personal Hygiene

In a bid to promote a healthy and sustainable community, Shirley Kyei, Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, led a cleanup exercise in Abuakwa, in the Ashanti Region.

The exercise, organized by the Seventh Day Adventist, Abuakwa congregation, brought together, Shirley Kyei, church members, and community residents to clear trash and debris from the streets and market area.

During the exercise, the MP stressed the importance of taking health and hygiene seriously, emphasizing that regular exercise, healthy eating, and proper hygiene practices are essential for maintaining good health.

She urged the community to prioritize their health and wellbeing, saying “As we clean our environment, let us not forget to take care of our bodies”.

The Atwima Nwabiagya South MP also highlighted the importance of keeping the environment clean, noting that a clean environment is essential for good health.

“By keeping our surroundings clean, we can prevent the spread of diseases and create a healthy and prosperous community,” she said.

This emphasis on health and hygiene is particularly important during adolescence, as proper hygiene practices, such as bathing daily and maintaining dental and oral hygiene, play a crucial role in maintaining health during this stage.
