A new chapter in Ghanaian digital entertainment officially began on Tuesday with the launch of Buzzycash Gaming, an instant USSD-based platform developed by Buzzycash Technologies.

The launch event, held in Accra, brought together media representatives, industry partners, and regulatory officials to witness what the company describes as “a revolution in locally inspired gaming.”

At the event, CEO E. Joel Akinjobi Adewale highlighted Buzzycash’s mission to combine technology, culture, and fun.

“Buzzycash Gaming is more than just a game; it is a celebration of our culture and an avenue for engagement, participation, and rewards,” he said.

He emphasized that the platform’s games are inspired by Ghanaian daily life and traditions, offering players relatable experiences that go beyond conventional gaming.

The Buzzycash platform is designed to be inclusive and widely accessible. Using simple USSD codes, players can engage in games on any mobile phone—smart or feature—without internet access.

Winners receive instant Mobile Money payouts, a feature aimed at ensuring convenience and transparency.

According to the company, even grandmothers are eligible to play, as long as participants are over 18.

Games on the platform reflect Ghanaian culture and everyday life.

Players can test their knowledge in Ghana Jollof, a game based on identifying the secret ingredient of the nation’s iconic dish, or try their luck in Gold Mine, which rewards players for digging deeper.

TroTro Ride simulates a daily tro-tro journey, with players aiming to cash out before the ride “breaks down.”

Buzzycash positions these games as both entertaining and educational, reinforcing local identity while offering the excitement of instant rewards.

The launch also included the presence of National Lottery Authority (NLA) officials, who affirmed the company’s compliance with Ghanaian regulations.

Akua Serwaa Adu Darko, representing the NLA, assured players of the platform’s legitimacy, stating that Buzzycash’s operations have been thoroughly vetted under the Lotto Act 722, which governs consumer promotions and gaming supervision in Ghana.

Nana Yaw Obrisiam, Country Director, stressed the homegrown nature of the games.

“Our platform takes everyday experiences—our jollof rice, tro-tro rides, and gold mining culture—and turns them into games that anyone can enjoy,” he said.

“It’s a celebration of Ghanaian culture in a format that is secure, transparent, and rewarding.”

Buzzycash Technologies, registered under CS173550725 and headquartered at 20B Kenville Court, Kenville Estates, Ogbojo, is positioning itself as a pioneer in the instant-gaming industry. With USSD technology that enables offline play and instant cash rewards, the platform aims to make digital gaming accessible to all Ghanaians while promoting a unique cultural experience.
