Controversial Ghanaian media personality Blakk Rasta has alleged that Queen Amadia, the wife of wealthy businessman Dr Sledge, has been arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with an ongoing investigation linked to her husband’s legal troubles.

According to Blakk Rasta, the alleged arrest took place at the Accra International Airport on Tuesday, May 13, 2026.

Speaking on his 3FM programme, The Blakk Pot, the outspoken broadcaster claimed EOCO officials picked up Queen Amadia, also identified as Nana Ama, as part of investigations believed to be connected to alleged financial crimes involving Dr Sledge.

“Dr Sledge’s wife, Amadia, Nana Ama, was arrested today at the Ghana International Airport. EOCO picked her up in connection with a separate investigation. I want to believe this investigation is related to Dr Sledge, abetment of crime,” Blakk Rasta alleged during the show.

The broadcaster noted that it remained unclear whether the alleged arrest was directly tied to the businessman’s ongoing legal challenges but insisted that if she was found culpable, she should face the law.

Dr Sledge, whose real name is Nana Yaw Duodo, is a prominent businessman and founder of Goldridge Ghana. He is known for his involvement in the gold trade, real estate investments and luxury lifestyle.

The businessman gained national attention in 2018 after purchasing a copy of Shatta Wale’s The Reign album for GH¢150,000 during the launch event.

According to Blakk Rasta, Dr Sledge is currently under investigation by EOCO and was previously investigated by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) over alleged corruption-related offences linked to the former government’s gold-for-oil and gold-for-forex programmes.

The broadcaster alleged that the businessman had been implicated in transactions involving approximately $94 million between 2020 and 2024.

“He was pinpointed for a $94 million corruption-related offence. The allegations center on transactions with MIIF between 2020 and 2024, specifically within the government’s gold for oil and gold for forex programs,” Blakk Rasta claimed.

He further alleged that investigators believed the state lost more than $94 million due to Goldridge Refinery Limited’s alleged failure to honour trade settlements connected to the programmes.

Blakk Rasta also referenced an earlier arrest involving Dr Sledge, claiming the businessman was briefly detained before later being released.

According to him, after his release, Dr Sledge allegedly organised a celebration and gifted his wife a luxurious Rolls-Royce vehicle, a gesture that attracted widespread attention on social media.

The latest allegations have generated intense discussion online, especially after videos previously surfaced showing Dr Sledge and Queen Amadia arriving at public events with a fleet of expensive luxury vehicles, including Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Ferraris and Range Rovers.

One of the most talked-about appearances occurred during Sarkodie’s 2024 Rapperholic concert, where the couple arrived in multiple luxury cars, sparking conversations about wealth and extravagance.

As of now, EOCO has not officially confirmed the alleged arrest of Queen Amadia, and no formal charges against her have been publicly announced.
