Medeama SC’s talented midfielder Prince Owusu has received his first-ever call-up to the Black Stars, Ghana’s senior national team, ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic and Comoros.
The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form in the Ghana Premier League, impressing national team coach Otto Addo with his consistency, maturity, and exceptional skills on the pitch.
A Promising Career
Prince Owusu’s impressive performance last season saw him feature in 22 league matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
He played a key role in Medeama’s midfield, showcasing his relentless energy, strong tackling, and tactical discipline.
These qualities have now earned him a spot in the Black Stars squad, where he will join forces with established midfielders like Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus.

The Black Stars will face Central African Republic on October 8 in Morocco and Comoros on October 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
