Accra Hearts of Oak’s goal-scoring drought has extended further, with the team being held to a goalless draw by Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite dominating possession with 54% and creating more attacking opportunities, Hearts failed to find the back of the net.
This latest draw marks a growing concern for the Accra giants, who have now scored just two goals in their opening five games of the 2025/26 GPL season.
Defensive Solidity
Hearts’ backline remained resolute in the absence of first-choice goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who is away on international duty with the Black Stars.
The replacement keeper had little to do as Heart of Lions failed to register a single shot on target from their four attempts. Hearts now boast five clean sheets in as many games.
Heart of Lions’ Unbeaten Run
Heart of Lions continue their impressive unbeaten run, but remain winless in their last four meetings with Hearts of Oak, with three defeats and a single draw.
While their defensive shape frustrated the hosts, their lack of attacking threat was also evident.
