Abuakwa South Member of Parliament, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, has extended financial assistance and donated a laptop to Awuah Seth Seyram, a brilliant young man from Asiakwa who has gained admission to the University of Ghana Medical School, Legon.
The support is intended to help Seyram settle into his medical education and pursue his ambition of becoming a medical doctor. In addition to the laptop and an undisclosed amount of money, Dr Agyemang has pledged continued assistance to the young student throughout his academic journey.
Seyram’s admission to medical school marks another significant milestone in a journey shaped by academic excellence, determination and opportunities provided through the Kingsley Science and Maths Quiz (KSMQ), an initiative established to identify, nurture and promote talented students within the Abuakwa South Municipality.
A product of the KSMQ initiative, Seyram proceeded to Prempeh College, where he continued to distinguish himself through his academic performance. He subsequently represented the school in the just-ended National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), helping the team advance to the semi-final stage of the national competition.
His successful admission to the University of Ghana Medical School is another achievement in a journey that began with his participation in the local academic competition.
Dr Agyemang’s intervention forms part of his stated commitment to supporting talented young people and helping them overcome financial and material challenges that could hinder their educational ambitions.
