Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams is on the verge of completing one of the biggest transfers involving a Ghana Premier League player this year after travelling to Sudan to finalize a move to African football powerhouse Al Hilal.
The 24-year-old has reportedly flown to Sudan to complete the final stages of the transfer, including medical examinations and contractual formalities, before officially joining the Sudanese giants ahead of the new season.
The move caps a remarkable campaign for Adams, who emerged as one of the Ghana Premier League’s standout performers during the 2025/26 season and played a pivotal role in Medeama’s successful title-winning campaign.
Operating from midfield, Adams combined creativity with goals, finishing the season with 12 goals in 28 league appearances as the Tarkwa-based club secured only the second league championship in its history.
His outstanding performances earned him Medeama’s Player of the Season award during the club’s title celebrations and established him among the best midfielders in Ghana’s top flight.
Adams’ rise has been rapid. After joining Medeama from Hearts of Oak in September 2025, he quickly became a key figure in the club’s midfield, with his influence extending beyond domestic competitions.
His excellent form also attracted the attention of the Black Stars technical team, earning him a call-up for the international friendly against Mexico in May and further enhancing his growing reputation.
Interest in the midfielder had intensified in recent months, with Tanzanian champions Simba SC previously linked with his signature.
However, Al Hilal moved decisively to win the race, convinced that Adams possesses the quality and experience needed to strengthen the club’s ambitions in both domestic and continental competitions.
