The 1966 box office hit…Love In Tokyo… was an Indian Hindi comedy. Politics throws up varied thrillers and while some can be mirthful others touch on growing moral decadence in society or in this case a political grouping not worth encouraging.
We had cause to bemoan the topic in reference expressing as we did our dismay about how what took place within the confines of a bedroom being splashed in the media by a male adult.

Moral decadence is a growing phenomenon in society today and when this is spotted among politicians we shudder to wonder where values are headed for.
Ageing is supposed to come with wisdom and good conduct and we expect the chairman to have exercised restraint even when provoked and not do as he did.
His fury overcame his judgment and he had to do the unthinkable, repercussions from which have led us to where we are today with rotten eggs splashed on our faces as members of society. The fallouts from the spilling of the romantic beans does not end with the couple. It affects society as a whole.
Many youth have taken interest in the subject and followed it from when the chairman released what he claimed was proof of their amorousness.A society mired in such a moral mess is not worth applauding.
While we side with the party’s decision to investigate the MP’s petition we would ask that care is taken not to be explicit when the report is being presented to the public. In any case we do not know what the terms of reference are but can infer that it includes whether or not the two really dated.
The issue at stake should not be about whether or not the two had an affair that should be consensual even if it happened. For us it should be about whether the Chairman was behind the humiliation of the MP. That is our concern. To mess up a woman in this way is an affront to womanhood which should be condemned.
