Okatakyie Funds Borehole Project For Agona

In a significant effort to address the water needs of his community, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has commissioned a newly completed borehole for residents of Agona.

The philanthropic gesture, made through his non-profit organization, For The Records Charities, is part of his ongoing commitment to local development initiatives.

The borehole project, which was handed over to the community during the recent Easter holiday, is expected to provide much-needed relief to residents who have long struggled with limited access to clean and reliable water.

For years, Agona—a town in the Ashanti Region—has faced intermittent water supply, especially during the dry season, forcing residents to rely on unsafe sources or travel long distances for water.

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, a native of Agona and a well-known public figure, has consistently championed developmental causes in his hometown and surrounding areas.

Through For The Records Charities, he has led several interventions focusing on education, health, and infrastructure.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, traditional leaders of Agona expressed deep appreciation for the timely donation.

They described the borehole as a life-changing addition to the community and offered heartfelt prayers and blessings for Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, whom they hailed as a “true son of the soil.”

The donation reinforces his long-standing reputation for giving back to his roots and sets a precedent for other stakeholders to invest in rural infrastructure.

Community members hope this gesture will inspire more philanthropic and governmental support for essential services in the region.
