In a shocking development, Kwaku Ohene Gyan, popularly known as Osonoba, has been taken into custody by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
The former Deputy Director of Operations at the National Service Authority (NSA) was allegedly picked up on Saturday evening and is currently being held at the NIB offices in Kawukudi.
While the reasons behind Osonaba’s detention remain unclear, sources close to the matter suggest that it may be linked to a car case.
However, it is also possible that his arrest is connected to the recent ghost names scandal that rocked the NSA.
President John Mahama has referred the ghost names scandal to the NIB for investigation.
The scandal, which involved allegations of corruption and mismanagement, led to a thorough investigation and potential reforms within the authority.
Osonaba’s lawyers are expected to meet with him tomorrow to discuss the situation and explore possible legal options for his release.
The legal team will likely seek to clarify the reasons behind his detention and ensure that his rights are protected throughout the process.
