The RNP Foundation, a Ghanaian-based environmental and community development organisation, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, where it made a donation in support of the Muslim Ramadan fasting period and sought prayers and blessings for the success of its initiatives.

The visit served as both a humanitarian gesture during the fasting season and a significant step as the Foundation began to roll out its environmental and community focused activities in Ghana.

The delegation from the RNP Foundation was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Richard Norkplim Pomeyie, accompanied by members of the organisation’s leadership team including Juliet Osei, General Manager; Phyllis Benedicta Anku, Director; and Raymond Setsorfia Kwadzo Avevor, Director.

During the meeting, Raymond Setsorfia Kwadzo Avevor took the opportunity to brief the Chief Imam and his team on the vision and mission of the RNP Foundation.
He explained that the Foundation is dedicated to addressing climate change, environmental degradation, and ecosystem loss in Ghana through initiatives such as tree planting, climate education, sanitation advocacy, and youth empowerment.

He further emphasised that the Foundation intends to work closely with communities across the country, particularly in coastal and highly deforested areas, to promote environmental sustainability and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
Following the presentation and donation, the Chief Imam warmly welcomed the initiative and offered prayers for the success and growth of the RNP Foundation.
Joining him in the prayers and blessings were Alhaji Adam Kamara, Abdul Jaleel Adam, Abubakar Adam, and Alhaji Lateef, as they collectively invoked divine guidance and support for the Foundation’s work.

The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between civil society organisations and religious leadership in promoting social development, environmental responsibility, and national well-being.

As the RNP Foundation prepares to roll out its programmes across Ghana, the blessings and encouragement from the National Chief Imam marks a meaningful beginning for the Foundation’s mission of environmental restoration, climate education, and community empowerment.
