The unfolding scandal at Siano Soccer Academy has taken a new turn as the embattled youth coach, Ibrahim Anyass, has been granted GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties by a local court.

The decision comes as investigations deepen into allegations of sexual abuse that have rocked the juvenile football community and raised questions about child protection within private sports academies.

The case gained national attention after the tragic death of Ransford Osei, a young footballer at the Academy who was allegedly sodomized by Coach Anyass while under his care.

According to earlier police reports and accounts from within the Academy, the assault is believed to have contributed significantly to the boy’s deteriorating health and eventual death.

The incident sparked public outrage, prompting authorities to intensify scrutiny of the Academy’s operations and child welfare systems.

However, Ransford was not the only victim who suffered under the coach’s supervision. As the investigation progressed, another young player from the Academy courageously came forward with similar allegations.

According to police sources, this second victim provided graphic details of the abuse and later accompanied crime officers to the Academy premises to reconstruct the events, helping investigators understand how the alleged assaults were carried out.

Health officials have since conducted a series of medical examinations on the second victim, including HIV and related tests, as part of the ongoing forensic process.

The victim is currently awaiting results, which are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the prosecution’s next steps.

The Siano Soccer Academy, previously regarded as a promising grooming ground for young football talent, now finds itself entangled in a scandal that raises broader concerns about oversight, safety protocols, and the vulnerability of children placed in the care of unregulated private institutions.
