The Black Princesses U20 team secured a 2-0 win over Benin in the WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup, with midfielder Sarah Nyarko earning the Player of the Match award.
Nyarko scored the opening goal in the 15th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after a good save from the Benin goalkeeper.
The Dreamz Ladies star was instrumental in Ghana’s performance, chasing down everything upfront for Charles Sampson’s side.
This was her third consecutive goal in the tournament, having scored against the host in the opening game and netting again in the 3-1 loss to Nigeria on matchday two.
Coach Sampson will rely on Nyarko’s services again when the Black Princesses take on Nigeria in their final group game.
The next match is crucial, and Nyarko’s impressive form will be a key factor in their quest for victory.
