The Ghana national football team, the Black Stars, has moved up one place up in the latest FIFA ranking.
According to the rankings released, Ghana has now climbed to 75th position globally, after being ranked 76th in the previous two rankings.
Recent Performance
The improvement in the ranking follows the team’s recent performance in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. During the September 2025 international window, Ghana drew against Chad and beat Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium, maintaining their top spot in Group I of the qualifiers.
These results have contributed to the team’s rise in the global rankings.
Continental Ranking Remains Unchanged
Despite the improvement in the global ranking, Ghana remains unchanged in the continental ranking, sitting in 14th position in Africa.
Coach Otto Addo hopes to further improve the team’s ranking when they return to action later in the year.
Implications
The ranking improvement is a positive development for Ghanaian football, reflecting the team’s hard work and dedication.
