The Ghana Police Service has arrested Samuel Amoah, popularly known as Biggy, after more than a year on the run.
He is accused of brutally murdering a mother and two of her children in Tuba Netlink Estates, Accra, in what investigators describe as one of the most shocking domestic-related crimes in recent years.

The Crime That Shocked Tuba
The tragic incident occurred on May 19, 2024, when police officers responded to a distress call about a violent attack inside a home at Tuba.
On arrival, officers discovered a horrific scene: 39-year-old Alberta Hagan and two of her children lying lifeless in their bedroom, soaked in blood.
Further inspection revealed that another child had survived but was left in critical condition with deep head injuries and bleeding ears.
Miraculously, a five-month-old baby was found unharmed on a sofa in the living room.
Emergency responders rushed the injured child to the hospital, while the remains of Alberta and her two children were transferred to the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Relationship Gone Sour
Investigations revealed that the suspect, Amoah, had been in a romantic relationship with Alberta.
However, according to the police, tensions arose between the two over financial disagreements.
The breakdown of their relationship allegedly triggered a violent rage that ended in the brutal killings.
COP Donkor, speaking at the time, stated that the suspect not only attacked Alberta but also turned on her children, who tragically witnessed the ordeal.
A Year on the Run
Following the incident, Amoah disappeared from Tuba and successfully evaded police capture for over a year.
His ability to remain in hiding fueled public anxiety and raised concerns about the safety of residents.
However, after months of intelligence-led operations, the police tracked him down and arrested him on September 17, 2025, in Suhum, Eastern Region.
Confession and Legal Proceedings
Police sources confirm that Amoah confessed during interrogation, admitting responsibility for the killings and expressing remorse.
He is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities have indicated that he will be formally charged with multiple counts of murder and prosecuted in the coming weeks.
