Nigeria’s Super Eagles have unveiled a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup playoffs in Morocco. The team, led by coach Eric Chelle, secured a spot in the playoffs after a thrilling 4-0 win over Benin last month.
The squad features an array of experienced players, including Captain William Troost-Ekong, star forward Victor Osimhen, and midfielder Alex Iwobi. Other notable players include Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Wilfred Ndidi.
Returning Players And Emerging Talents
Several players have returned to the squad, including Sevilla star Chidera Ejuke, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. Emerging talents like defender Benjamin Fredericks, Sevilla striker Akor Adams, and forwards Tolu Arokodare and Olusegun Olakunle are also part of the team.
Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semi-final on November 13 at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan in Rabat, Morocco.
The winner will play either Cameroon or DR Congo in the final to secure Africa’s sole spot in the intercontinental playoff.
