Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy sparked controversy after ejecting a couple from his Denver concert for allegedly sleeping during his performance.
The incident occurred over the weekend at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where Burna Boy was headlining his “No Sign of Weakness Tour”.
In a dramatic scene, Burna Boy paused his set and addressed the couple, saying, “When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in front of me, it pisses me the f*k up. So, please, take her the f*k home… Walahi, I’m not performing another song till you go home”.
The couple initially hesitated, but eventually left after the crowd began chanting for their exit. Burna Boy resumed his performance, launching into his hit song “Ye”.
This incident isn’t an isolated one; Burna Boy has previously kicked fans out of his concerts for various reasons, including not dancing or storming the stage.
The singer has earned a reputation for being fiercely protective of his performances and demanding respect from his audience.
