The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has charged Asante Kotoko for an inciteful comment on social media following their match against Samartex.
The Porcupine Warriors posted a statement on X, formerly Twitter, questioning a penalty awarded to Samartex, stating, “Referee Aduntera has awarded a penalty for a foul outside the box”.
The GFA deemed this comment as posing a risk of violence against match officials and bringing the game into disrepute, violating Section 34(6)(d) of the 2025 Premier League Regulations.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been given until Wednesday, November 26, 2025, to respond to the charges.
The controversy surrounds Asante Kotoko’s 0-0 draw with Samartex, where they currently sit fourth on the Ghana Premier League table.
The GFA aims to maintain discipline and protect match officials, ensuring a safe environment for all stakeholders in the league.
