A moment of discipline and attention to duty took centre stage when Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), publicly reprimanded a security officer during a political event in the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on March 25, 2026, at Nsuta Kwamang Beposo, where Asiedu Nketiah was addressing chiefs, party supporters, and community members as part of the party’s “Thank You” tour following the 2024 elections.

Midway through his speech, the veteran politician abruptly paused after noticing a security officer appearing distracted and engaged in conversation with some ladies instead of focusing on his duties.

In a firm but direct tone, he called out the officer, questioning his professionalism.

“Hey master, security, did you come to work or to converse with girls?” he asked, drawing reactions from the crowd.

The brief but striking moment, captured on video, has since gone viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions among Ghanaians. While some have praised Asiedu Nketiah, popularly called General Mosquito for demanding discipline and accountability from security personnel, others have debated whether the public nature of the reprimand was appropriate.
