Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following his conduct during the club’s 2-0 Ghana Premier League victory over Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The GFA, in its latest regulatory update for the 2026/27 season, said Boadu had been charged with a breach of Article 34(6)(a) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2025.
The charge stems from allegations that the Aduana FC coach made improper and provocative gestures towards sections of the Asante Kotoko supporters during the encounter in Kumasi.
Boadu was reportedly seen reacting to the home supporters after Aduana secured the advantage, with his gestures subsequently becoming the subject of disciplinary proceedings by the football governing body.
The GFA has formally opened proceedings against the coach and has given him until Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to submit his response to the charge. Any further action will depend on the outcome of the disciplinary process.
The charge comes shortly after Boadu masterminded a significant away victory for Aduana, with the Fire Club ending their wait for a league win over Kotoko in Kumasi dating back to 2021.
Stephen Amankona put the visitors ahead after taking advantage of an error by Kotoko goalkeeper Danladi Ibrahim. Despite Aduana being reduced to 10 men after Raymond Agyemang received a second yellow card, Boadu’s side remained organised and eventually doubled their lead through Seidu Saana on a late counter-attack.
The result moved Aduana FC to seven points from their opening four matches of the 2026/27 campaign, while Kotoko suffered their first defeat of the season.
However, the result has now been followed by a disciplinary matter involving Boadu, with the coach required to explain his actions before the GFA’s deadline.
