Ghanaian gospel icon Joe Mettle is set to transform the El Wak Sports Stadium into a sanctuary of worship this June as his signature worship event, Praise Reloaded, returns for its 14th edition.
Scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2025, this year’s gathering marks a significant shift in venue and scale following the record-breaking attendance of the 2024 edition at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Themed “Festival of Gratitude”, Praise Reloaded 2025 aims to go beyond music to create a spiritually immersive experience focused on thanksgiving, deep reflection, and collective worship.
The event is spearheaded by Joe Mettle Ministries and remains one of the most anticipated gatherings on the country’s gospel calendar.
“Praise Reloaded 2025 will be a divine convergence—a moment where hearts align in gratitude and voices rise in one accord,” a spokesperson from Joe Mettle Ministries said during the launch.
“It’s not just about performances, it’s about building a sacred atmosphere where people can truly encounter God.”
Since its humble beginnings over a decade ago, Praise Reloaded has grown into a continental force in gospel music and worship, drawing believers from across Ghana and neighboring countries.
The event has consistently featured top gospel artists and has become a platform for both spiritual revival and musical excellence.
This year’s lineup is no exception. International gospel stars including Nigerian trumpeter and worship minister Nathaniel Bassey, South African powerhouse Ntokozo Mbambo, and Ghanaian praise leader Akesse Brempong have been announced as key performers.
More guest ministers are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The shift to El Wak Sports Stadium is seen as a strategic move to accommodate the ever-growing crowd of worshippers.
In 2024, the Accra Sports Stadium was packed beyond expectations, with thousands testifying to powerful spiritual encounters and miraculous experiences during the night of worship.
Joe Mettle, a multi-award-winning gospel musician and the first Ghanaian to win the VGMA Artiste of the Year, continues to use his ministry to inspire hope and foster unity among believers.
His vision for Praise Reloaded has evolved into a powerful symbol of gratitude and revival, influencing gospel music culture in Ghana and beyond.
