Agradaa Awaits Prison Transfer As She Faces New Trial Over Leaked Sex Tape, Assault Allegations

Even as she prepares to serve a 15-year sentence for fraud-related offences, controversial evangelist and former fetish priestess, Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, is set to appear in court once again on July 30, 2025—this time, to answer to serious charges relating to assault and the non-consensual distribution of intimate images.

Contrary to widespread assumptions, Agradaa is currently not in prison, despite her conviction by an Accra Circuit Court in June 2025 on two counts of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement.

Reports confirmed that her delayed incarceration is due to ongoing bureaucratic and administrative procedures, which are reportedly being finalized before she is committed to serve her custodial sentence at the Nsawam Female Prison.

While her legal team has already filed a notice of appeal seeking to overturn the 15-year jail term—arguing that the trial was flawed and their client was denied a fair hearing—Agradaa now faces fresh legal trouble that could compound her woes.

The latest case, filed by popular preacher Osofo Appiah, known publicly as Osofo Biblical, accuses Agradaa of orchestrating a violent assault on him years ago during her time as a fetish priestess.

Appiah alleges that he was attacked by individuals believed to be closely associated with Agradaa.

More disturbingly, he claims that Agradaa aired a private video of him engaged in a sexual act with a married woman—footage that was reportedly broadcast on her now-defunct Thunder TV station without his consent.

Prosecutors say this act constitutes a violation of Ghana’s laws on privacy and the distribution of sexually explicit material.

The court has now ordered Agradaa to appear before it to open her defence in this case.

This trial is distinct from the fraud case for which she has already been convicted, indicating that her legal troubles are far from over.

Agradaa, once known for her spiritual practices involving fetish rituals, publicly converted to Christianity several years ago, rebranding herself as an evangelist.

However, her post-conversion life has been mired in controversy, including numerous fraud allegations involving the collection of monies from followers under false spiritual promises.
