Kubala King Atehene Resurfaces Looking Healthier After Rehab Stay

BY ISSAH OLEGOR

Kofi Offeh, popularly known as King Atehene and the self-proclaimed ruler of the Kubala Kingdom, has resurfaced in a new photo looking noticeably healthier and well-groomed, months after his family reportedly admitted him to a rehabilitation centre in Ghana.

The latest image, shared on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, by the Moors Northern Tribe TikTok account, showed Atehene participating in a video call with his wife, Queen Nandi, and his maiden, Asnat.

His appearance has attracted attention on social media, with some users commenting on the visible changes compared with images circulating around the time of his admission to the rehabilitation facility.

The development has also renewed interest in Atehene’s whereabouts and wellbeing following months of public discussion about his circumstances and the decision by his family to seek rehabilitation for him.

Queen Nandi Announces His Reported Discharge

In a caption accompanying the photograph, Queen Nandi claimed that her husband had been discharged from the rehabilitation centre after undergoing treatment.

Although the announcement suggests that Atehene is no longer at the facility, details surrounding the date of his discharge, the nature of his treatment and his current living arrangements were not provided in the available account.

The photograph showed him looking composed and neatly groomed during the video call, a contrast to his appearance in images that circulated before and around the time of his admission.

However, his appearance alone does not establish the nature or extent of any recovery, and no independent medical information was provided.

From Forest Living to Rehabilitation

Atehene previously attracted public attention after reportedly spending time living in a forest in Sunyani, where he made claims about establishing a new kingdom.

His activities became a subject of widespread discussion following his deportation from the United Kingdom and his subsequent return to Ghana.

He later became associated with the Kubala Kingdom, which he presents himself as leading. His claims and activities drew attention online, where supporters and critics debated his circumstances and the nature of the kingdom he claimed to have established.

Months later, members of his family reportedly decided to admit him to a rehabilitation centre, a development that generated further public interest in his personal life.

The family’s decision became particularly contentious after Queen Nandi expressed anger over the arrangement and alleged that her husband was being mistreated at the facility.

Family Disagreement Over His Rehabilitation

Queen Nandi’s earlier objections to her husband’s admission highlighted tensions surrounding the family’s decision to place him in the facility.

While his family reportedly considered rehabilitation necessary, Nandi raised concerns about his treatment and challenged the circumstances surrounding his stay.

The new photograph has also prompted renewed discussion among social media users, many of whom have focused on the apparent change in his appearance.

What Happens Next for King Atehene?

Atehene’s reported discharge raises questions about his next steps, including where he will live, whether he intends to resume his activities surrounding the Kubala Kingdom and how he plans to rebuild his public presence.
