Mohammed Kudus continued his impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur as Thomas Frank’s side secured a 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
This win marked Tottenham’s second successive Premier League win of the season, and Kudus played a key role in the victory.
Kudus’s Influence
The Ghanaian attacker was a constant threat down the right flank, completing three dribbles and registering 43 touches.
He won seven of his eleven ground duels and contributed defensively with two tackles and six recoveries. Although he didn’t record a goal or assist, Kudus’s all-round game stood out, and he completed 82% of his passes.
Key Moments
Kudus’s energy was crucial in Spurs’ transitions, and he nearly forced a decisive moment when he collided with goalkeeper James Trafford in a challenge that could have seen City reduced to ten men.
Brennan Johnson’s opener and Joao Palhinha’s strike before half-time sealed another impressive win over Pep Guardiola’s side.
