MzGee Breaks Silence: Death Prophecy Forced Me Quit TV3

Ghanaian Broadcaster Gloria Akpene Nyarku, popularly known as MzGee, has finally revealed the real reason behind her sudden resignation from TV3, a decision that shocked many in the media industry at the time.

Contrary to widespread speculation that her exit was due to internal wrangling or career frustrations, MzGee says it was a prophecy about death that compelled her to step away from the limelight.

Speaking candidly in a video shared on social media, the media personality disclosed that a chilling prophecy about a television host dying on stage during a reality show unsettled her so deeply that she decided to quit her role at the station.

At the time, she was hosting Mentor, one of TV3’s most prominent reality shows, and feared that she could be the one the prophecy referred to.

“I resigned from TV3 because of a prophecy. The prophecy said, ‘I see someone on television, hosting a reality show, and that person will fall and die.’ I didn’t wait to find out who it would be. I stepped down,” she explained.

Dreams and Spiritual Signs

Beyond the prophecy, MzGee said she had also been haunted by recurring dreams of death.

In her account, these visions were not isolated but came repeatedly, reinforcing her belief that her life was at risk.

She described seeing herself among the dead and hearing from people who claimed to have dreamt of her death.

“At a point, death felt like it was surrounding me. I would either see myself among people who had already died or be told by others that they had seen me dead in their dreams. It became overwhelming,” she recounted.

According to her, the prophecy served as a confirmation of what her spirit and dreams were already warning her about.

Although the prophet never directly instructed her to resign, she interpreted the message as a sign to take immediate action to protect herself.

Rumours and Misconceptions

When she abruptly left TV3, rumours swirled within the entertainment industry.

Critics claimed she was difficult to work with, while others alleged that she left because of jealousy of her colleagues. MzGee, however, insists that those assumptions were far from the truth.

“How could I have explained to people that I resigned because of a prophecy? They would have laughed at me and called me unserious. And yet, if something had happened to me, the same people would say I was warned but refused to act,” she explained.

“Sometimes prophecies confirm what your own spirit already knows. I could not ignore it, not when I kept dreaming of death. That was my reality,” she concluded.
