Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Ekow Vincent Assafuah, has donated GHS150,000 to the Tafo Government Hospital, underscoring his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure within his constituency.

The donation, made over the weekend, is intended to bolster the hospital’s capacity to deliver critical healthcare services to the growing population of Old Tafo and its environs.

Speaking at a brief ceremony to hand over the funds, the MP emphasized that the gesture goes beyond monetary value—it represents a message of hope and a shared responsibility to safeguard the health and dignity of every resident in the area.

“This donation is not just about money,” Assafuah stated. “It’s about hope, dignity, and our shared responsibility to ensure that every life matters.”

The Tafo Government Hospital serves as a primary healthcare facility in the constituency and is often overburdened with patients due to limited resources.

The MP acknowledged the tireless efforts of the healthcare professionals, expressing his gratitude to the staff for their dedication and sacrifice in providing medical care under challenging circumstances.

“To the dedicated staff of Tafo Government Hospital, thank you for your selfless service,” he said.

“To the people of Old Tafo, this is just the beginning. Together, we will build a healthier and more resilient community.”

This is not the first time Ekow Assafuah has directed efforts toward improving healthcare delivery in the constituency.

The latest donation is expected to support the procurement of essential medical equipment, improve service delivery, and provide much-needed relief to an overstretched health system.

Constituents and local leaders have lauded the MP’s continued investment in healthcare as a demonstration of practical leadership and a responsive approach to grassroots concerns.

Health officials at the Tafo Government Hospital have also expressed optimism that the support will help address some of the facility’s pressing needs.
