Sarkodie Had No Knowledge Of Ebo Noah’s Stage Appearance – DJ Mensah

The controversy surrounding the appearance of self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah at the 2025 edition of Rapperholic has taken a new turn, following revelations by Sarkodie’s official DJ, Michael Mensah, popularly known as DJ Mensah, that the multiple award-winning rapper was unaware the controversial figure would mount the stage.

Ebo Noah’s unexpected appearance at the December 25, 2025 Rapperholic concert became one of the most talked-about moments during the “December in GH” festivities.

At the time, Noah was already trending nationwide for a series of viral videos in which he predicted a catastrophic flood that would allegedly destroy the world on the same day as the concert.

He had also claimed to be preparing wooden “arks” to save people from the impending disaster.

His presence on one of the most prestigious music stages immediately sparked public backlash, with critics questioning why Sarkodie would provide a platform to an individual many believed was deliberately spreading fear and misinformation.

The backlash intensified on social media, where some accused the rapper of endorsing or legitimising Ebo Noah’s apocalyptic claims.

However, speaking on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z programme with host Kwame Dadzie, DJ Mensah sought to set the record straight.

According to him, Sarkodie had no prior knowledge that Ebo Noah would be part of the programme lineup on the night.

“Sarkodie was not even aware he was coming,” DJ Mensah disclosed during the interview.

He explained that certain elements of the show, particularly surprise appearances, are often coordinated by event organisers rather than the headline artiste himself.

“Sometimes we have to surprise Sarkodie; it’s the event organisers,” he added, distancing the rapper from the decision to feature Ebo Noah on stage.

The clarification comes against the backdrop of Ebo Noah’s subsequent arrest by the Ghana Police Service.

The social media personality was picked up on December 31, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation, after authorities concluded that his doomsday prophecies amounted to the publication of false news likely to cause fear and panic.

Following the arrest, Sarkodie publicly commented on the issue, expressing uncertainty about the basis for the police action.

On January 2, 2026, the rapper shared a video on Instagram showing Ebo Noah in handcuffs being escorted into a police vehicle. In his caption, Sarkodie suggested that Noah was primarily engaged in content creation rather than criminal activity.

“Don’t know exactly what my boy’s crime is, but from day one I knew he was making content, unless he’s been charged with something else,” Sarkodie wrote, a comment that further fueled public debate about the fine line between online content creation and the spread of misinformation.

Ebo Noah rose to prominence in the latter part of 2025 after predicting a three-year flood that he claimed would begin on December 25 and wipe out the world.

He shared multiple videos across social media platforms showing wooden boats he described as arks, reinforcing his claims and attracting massive attention, criticism, and concern from the public.
