St. Louis SHS Students Caught In Car Boot

Authorities at St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi are grappling with a serious disciplinary breach after two female students were caught attempting to leave the school compound hidden inside the trunk of a private vehicle.

The discovery was made during a routine inspection of vehicles entering and exiting the school grounds.

The car in question had entered the school under the guise of being a Bolt ride-hailing service, purportedly to pick up a passenger.

However, suspicious behavior on the part of the driver prompted school officials to conduct a search, during which the two students were found concealed in the boot.

According to eyewitness accounts and a video that has since gone viral on social media, one student was dressed in a tight blue dress while the other wore shorts and a revealing top—attire considered inappropriate within the school’s conservative dress code.

A visibly disturbed staff member can be heard in the video ordering that the morning assembly be delayed so the students could be paraded before the student body as a cautionary example.

“Look at one of them with an anklet. Shame! Come out! What at all do you want in this world?” a staff member was heard scolding in the footage.

The video shows the school personnel insisting that the girls be publicly reprimanded as a deterrent.

More troubling is the suspicion that the incident may not be an isolated one. A voice in the video alleges that the same driver has been involved in similar pickups in the past.

“Don’t let the car drive away. The driver usually comes and takes them out of the school,” the voice claimed, suggesting an ongoing breach of school security.

As of now, the school administration has not released an official statement, but internal investigations are believed to be underway.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is also expected to take an interest in the matter, given the public attention and broader implications.

The names of the students involved have not been disclosed, and it remains unclear what disciplinary action will be taken.

The driver of the vehicle is also yet to be identified publicly or confirmed to be in the custody of authorities.
