MTN Ghana has been named the overall best-performing operating company (OpCo) within the MTN Group, following its triumph at the prestigious 2025 Million Dollar Challenge.
The accolade was announced at the MTN Global Leadership Gathering (GLG) 2026, a high-level forum that convenes executives from across MTN’s global operations to celebrate innovation, strategic execution, and operational excellence.
The award positions MTN Ghana as a trailblazer in the Group, reflecting exceptional market performance, robust financial and operational results, and the successful scaling of strategic platforms across its Fintech, Enterprise, and Consumer segments.
In total, MTN Ghana secured six major awards, underscoring its consistent record of leadership and innovation.
Among the accolades won by the company were:

Million Dollar Challenge 2025 – Fintech (MoMo Ghana)
CEO of the Year – Fintech: Shaibu Haruna, MoMo Ghana

Overall Winner – MTN Group 2025 Million Dollar Challenge
Stephen Blewett, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, hailed the recognition as a testament to the dedication and creativity of the company’s workforce.
