Lawyer and New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Kwasi Kwarteng has taken a major step in his personal life after tying the knot with Richlove Yaa Badu Adepa, the niece of Ghanaian politician Kennedy Agyapong in a colourful traditional marriage ceremony.

Footage from the ceremony surfaced online on Saturday, September 12, 2026, quickly drawing attention from social media users intrigued not only by the elegance of the celebration but also by the political connection between the newlyweds.

The video, shared on Instagram by GH Gossip, captures Kwarteng and his bride dressed in beautifully designed Kente and other traditional fabrics as they appeared to exchange vows and celebrate their union in an indoor setting decorated for the occasion at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

A man dressed in a white suit was also seen in the footage, while family members and other guests appeared to be part of the ceremony. The atmosphere was one of celebration, with the couple receiving attention for their traditional wedding outfits and appearance.

The identity of the bride has attracted particular interest because of her relationship with Kennedy Agyapong, one of Ghana’s most prominent political figures and a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central.

Social media users have since flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages, celebrating the marriage and wishing the couple a happy union.

For many observers, however, the ceremony has an added layer of significance because Kwarteng is not simply a private individual marrying into the Agyapong family. He has, in recent years, emerged as one of the familiar political communicators associated with Kennedy Agyapong.

Kwasi Kwarteng is a Ghanaian lawyer, political communicator and member of the NPP who has built a reputation through political commentary, media engagements and party activities.

He became particularly prominent as a spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong during Agyapong’s campaign for the NPP’s presidential nomination. Kwarteng was appointed to the position in June 2025 and subsequently became one of the voices regularly defending and explaining the former Assin Central MP’s political positions.

Before joining Agyapong’s campaign team, Kwarteng served as a spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, where he participated in media engagements and handled aspects of public communication.

He is also associated with the NPP’s National Communications Team and has participated in the party’s grassroots political activities.
