Hulk Hogan’s Cause Of Death Revealed

The cause of death of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan has been revealed.

According to a cremation approval summary report from the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County, Florida, Hogan died of a heart attack, also known as “acute myocardial infarction”.

The report also cited Hogan’s history of an irregular heartbeat and blood cancer as contributing factors to his death.

Background

Hogan, whose given name was Terry Gene Bollea, passed away last week in Florida at the age of 71.

He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital after being treated by fire and rescue crews, where he was pronounced dead.

The police investigation into his death found no signs of suspicious activity.

Medical Examiner’s Report

The medical examiner’s office confirmed that Hogan’s manner of death was ruled as “natural”.

No autopsy or exam was performed, and Hogan’s death was certified by his primary care physician.

Tribute from WWE

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) paid tribute to Hogan, saying he was one of the most recognizable figures in pop culture.

“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s,” the WWE said in a statement.

Legacy

Hogan was a household name and a crossover mainstream star, starring in movies and recognized around the world.

He is best known for his

larger-than-life personality during wrestling’s “golden era”, with his rivalries with other pro wrestlers making professional wrestling a multi-billion-dollar industry.
