The PK Appiah Foundation, a Christian-based non-governmental organization, has been officially launched in Accra with an ambitious vision to combine spiritual mentorship, acts of kindness, and economic empowerment in order to transform lives and communities across Ghana.
Speaking at the launch ceremony at the Church of Pentecost, Chemunaa Assembly, the foundation’s CEO, Prosper Kwame Appiah, told journalists that the mission is rooted in the belief that lasting societal change must start with spiritual transformation.
“We believe that the only person that can be trusted to do good is the person who fears God,” Appiah explained. “Before you give anyone an opportunity or empower them economically, they must first be rooted in Christ. A person with the Spirit of God will use resources for the benefit of humanity, not its destruction.”

Evangelism And Economic Empowerment
The PK Appiah Foundation’s stated vision is to “lead generations to Christ through acts of kindness and ministry,” a mandate it says will guide all of its outreach initiatives.
The organization’s approach goes beyond physical aid, placing equal emphasis on spiritual growth.
In its economic empowerment plan, the foundation intends to identify and train youth in practical skills and innovations, ensuring that recipients are mentally, spiritually, and technically prepared to use their abilities productively.
Partnership with Kantanka for Job Creation
One of the foundation’s flagship projects will be the P2K Brand, a planned collaboration with the renowned automobile innovator Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
The initiative will focus on manufacturing affordable vehicles — including motorbikes for commercial riders, “Aboboya” tricycles, “Pragya” passenger trikes, and small cars — to create employment for the youth.
Appiah revealed that the factory’s operations aim to produce vehicles at prices accessible to ordinary Ghanaians, with a target of creating jobs for 10,000 youth by 2029.
“The idea that African youth are inferior to their European or Asian counterparts is false,” he said.
“Our challenge is not ability, but opportunity. Ghanaian innovation, like Kantanka’s, proves we can match and even surpass global standards if given the right platform.”
Launch Day Activities
The launch event embodied the foundation’s holistic approach, combining evangelism with service. Over 500 widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities received meals, while attendees benefited from free health screenings
The program, themed “Leading Generations to Christ Through Service” (Matthew 25:35-36), drew participation from church members, local leaders, and residents eager to learn more about the organization’s initiatives.
Looking Ahead
With headquarters at Jasmil Heights in North Kaneshie, Accra, the PK Appiah Foundation plans to expand its outreach nationwide, focusing on vulnerable communities while fostering a new generation of spiritually grounded, skilled, and economically independent Ghanaians.
“We are not just meeting physical needs,” Appiah concluded. “We are building people who can change Ghana — morally, economically, and spiritually.”
