Barbados Recruits Allied Health Professionals For Lucrative Job Opportunities

In a significant international collaboration aimed at strengthening health workforce exchange and professional development, the Government of Barbados, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, has announced a major recruitment drive for qualified Ghanaian Allied Health Professionals to take up rewarding employment opportunities in the Caribbean country.

The initiative, spearheaded through the Ministry of Health, seeks to provide Ghanaian health professionals with access to competitive roles within Barbados’ expanding healthcare system while deepening bilateral ties between the two Commonwealth nations.

The partnership reflects Barbados’ long-term strategy to bolster its health sector by attracting skilled professionals from countries with strong medical education systems like Ghana.

According to the official announcement from the Ministry of Health, applications open on Monday, 27th October 2025, and will close on Thursday, 30th October 2025.

Interested candidates are expected to apply via the Ministry’s official recruitment portal — https://hr.moh.gov.gh — or submit their documents through the Ministry’s email: mohhrhd@moh.gov.gh.

The available positions include:

1. Cardiac Sonographer

2. Physicist III

3. Audiologist

4. Diagnostic Radiographer

5. Sonographer

6. Occupational Therapist

7. Respiratory Therapist

8. Speech Therapist/Speech & Language Pathologist

The Ministry emphasized that applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in their respective fields.

Detailed Application Requirements

To ensure transparency and compliance with international standards, each applicant must present both original and two photocopies of the following documents:

Academic and professional certificates

Certificate of good standing from the Allied Health Professions Council

Current and previous appointment letters

Certificate of criminal record from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (issued within the last six months)

Certificate of change of name, where applicable

Immunization certificate

Birth certificate

Two copies of an up-to-date curriculum vitae

Two recent reference letters dated within the last six months

An endorsed passport-size photograph with a white background

Bio-data page of a valid passport (minimum of two years validity)

Completed application form

Any other relevant supporting documents

Applicants shortlisted for interviews will be required to present certified copies of all qualifications, professional registrations, and identification documents during the interview process.

The Ministry of Health also noted that unsuitable or incomplete applications will not be acknowledged.
