Black Sherif: ‘Iron Boy Album Is The Validation I Need

Ghanaian music star Black Sherif has emphasized the personal significance of his latest album, “Iron Boy,” stating that it holds more value to him than any award, including the prestigious Grammy or Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year (AOTY) title.

Black Sherif sharing his thoughts on the album and what it represents to the media explained that “Iron Boy is the biggest project of my career so far. It’s my life, my emotions and my truth. It tells my story from the moment I stepped into the music industry to where I am now. My struggles, my victories, my doubts and my faith in my journey are all in here,” Black Sherif explained.

The 15-track album takes listeners on an emotional ride through his life, showcasing his growth, setbacks, and triumphs.

When asked about the importance of awards, Black Sherif was clear: “I feel Iron Boy will do the job better than even a Grammy or TGMA AOTY. That is not to say I don’t value awards but it is just how I feel at the moment.”

He emphasized that his focus is on creating a lasting legacy through his music, rather than seeking external validation.

Personal Journey

Black Sherif described “Iron Boy” as a piece of his soul, stating, “If there is anything I put my soul, my heart and my mind to, it is this album. I don’t care about anything else. I don’t want anything else after it. That’s the word.”

The album is a reflection of his personal journey, and he believes it will resonate with his fans on a deeper level.
