The draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League group stage was held on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Johannesburg.
The competition promises to deliver thrilling matches, with top African clubs competing for the coveted title.
Group A: Pyramids FC vs. RS Berkane
Reigning champions Pyramids FC will face Moroccan giants RS Berkane in a highly anticipated Group A clash.
The two teams recently met in the CAF Super Cup, with Pyramids emerging victorious with a 1-0 win.
They will be joined in Group A by Nigeria’s Rivers United and Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
Other Groups
Record 12-time champions Al Ahly will lead Group B, where they will take on Tanzania’s Young Africans, Morocco’s AS FAR, and Algeria’s JS Kabylie.
Group C features South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Hilal, MC Alger, and DR Congo’s St Eloi Lupopo, while Group D is made up of Esperance de Tunis, Simba SC, Petro de Luanda, and Stade Malien.
Competition Format
The group stage will begin on November 21-23, 2025, with two rounds scheduled before the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Matches will resume in January 2026, followed by the knockout stage in March.
Prize Money
The prize money for the competition is substantial, with the winners receiving $4 million and the runners-up taking home $2 million.
