The Concerned Youths of Akuapem North Constituency have raised concerns over the illegal sale of National Apprenticeship Program forms by certain individuals in the constituency.

According to reports, Godwin Azameti, also known as Mputu, and some other individuals have been filling application forms for the program for a fee of GH₵50 at Okorase in the Akuapem North Constituency.

The Issue

This practice has sparked controversy surrounding the National Apprenticeship Program, with the Concerned Youths alleging that it is exploitative and targets vulnerable youths who are eager to benefit from government initiatives.

The National Youth Authority (NYA) has clearly stated that the forms are available free of charge, and the youths believe it is their collective responsibility to ensure that this opportunity is accessible to all eligible youths without any financial burden.

Demands

The Concerned Youths have demanded that the NYA and other relevant authorities take immediate action to:

– *Investigate and stop the illegal activities*: Put an end to the sale of National Apprenticeship Program forms by unauthorized individuals.

– *Ensure transparency and fairness*: Make sure the application process is transparent, fair, and accessible to all eligible youths.

– *Educate the public*: Inform the public on how to access the forms legitimately and safely.

Call to Action

The Concerned Youths are urging their fellow youths to be vigilant and report any attempts to sell or fill forms in exchange for money to the authorities.

They believe that together, they can protect the interests of their community and ensure that government initiatives reach those they are intended to benefit.

Background

The National Apprenticeship Program is a government initiative aimed at providing young people with skills training and employment opportunities.

The program is designed to equip youths with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen trades or vocations.

The NYA is responsible for implementing the program and ensuring that it reaches the intended beneficiaries.
