The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has announced a major breakthrough in its fight against organised crime, revealing the arrest of 320 individuals in Kumasi as part of an anti-human trafficking and economic crime operation targeting the infamous QNET fraud scheme.
Operation Details
The raid, conducted on November 6, 2025, marks the single largest anti-human trafficking operation in the country.
EOCO’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit executed two simultaneous operations at different locations, resulting in the arrest of the individuals.
Suspects
Initial assessments by EOCO have begun to categorize those arrested:
– *Potential Suspects*: 25 individuals are considered potential suspects in the fraud and trafficking ring.
– *Victims*: The remaining 295 individuals are currently deemed to be victims of human trafficking and employment scams perpetrated under the guise of QNET.
Investigation And Next Steps
The 25 suspected perpetrators are currently undergoing screening and will be subjected to further investigations.
