Accra Hearts of Oak have officially unveiled their home jersey for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, signalling the start of a new chapter as the record Ghanaian giants prepare for another campaign with renewed ambitions of returning to the summit of domestic football.
The launch of the new kit comes as the Phobians continue an extensive rebuilding exercise aimed at restoring the club’s status among the country’s elite following several seasons of inconsistency in the Ghana Premier League.
The newly unveiled jersey stays true to Hearts of Oak’s rich rainbow colours tradition while embracing a modern look. The shirt features the club’s iconic purple as its dominant colour, enhanced by bold red and yellow graphic patterns across the front, creating a striking design that reflects both the club’s heritage and contemporary football fashion.
The club’s famous crest remains proudly positioned on the left side of the chest, while the logo of official kit manufacturer The Hope Brand is prominently displayed, symbolising the continued partnership between the two organisations.
The design represents more than just a change of kit. It reflects Hearts of Oak’s determination to begin a fresh era under a revamped technical and management structure as the club seeks to challenge once again for the Ghana Premier League title and other domestic honours.
Founded in 1911, Hearts of Oak remain one of Ghana’s most decorated football clubs, boasting multiple Ghana Premier League titles, FA Cup triumphs and continental success, including the historic CAF Champions League title in 2000 and the CAF Super Cup in 2001.
The Rainbow Club also enjoys one of the largest fan bases in Ghana and continues to play a significant role in the country’s football history.
Despite their illustrious past, Hearts have experienced mixed fortunes in recent seasons, prompting management to strengthen the playing squad and technical team ahead of the 2026/27 campaign in a bid to restore the club to championship contention.
The unveiling of the new home jersey forms part of the club’s preparations for the upcoming league season, with supporters expected to embrace the new design as they rally behind the Phobians in their quest for silverware.
Hearts of Oak will officially begin their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home fixture against Berekum Chelsea, where the club will be hoping to make a winning start and set the tone for what supporters hope will be a successful season.
